Kate wears something old to the wedding of 'royal matchmaker'

Kate has never been one to wear an item of clothing once then discard it and today was no exception. The Duchess of Cambridge attended the wedding of jockey Sam Waley-Cohen and party organiser Bella Balin wearing a black and white spot monochrome dress. Kate was previously photographed wearing it back in 2007 after she and William had broken up. She wore the satin dress with a chunky belt, black shrug and her hair swept back on a night out at the Boujis nightclub again accompanied by her sister Pippa. However Kate obviously felt the dress deserved a second outing. This team worn with a skinny black belt and the black Philip Treacy hat she wore today while supporting William at Trooping The Colour.

Sam Waley-Cohen has been credited with rekindling the romance between William and Kate after their brief split. Kate greeted him with great affection and appeared very happy. I think Kate looked very chic today, Her dress looked new. I admire the way she keeps her clothes in such magnificent condition. She also has a keen eye for fashion making the dress look more chic than the first time she wore it.

Newsweek shows Diana aged 50 walking alongside daughter in law Kate

Diana, Princess of Wales 50th birthday would have been this Friday. William and Kate will be kicking off their tour of Canada, No doubt thoughts of his mother will be firmly placed in William's mind on what would have been a memorable occasion. What would Diana have looked like now? Would she celebrate her 50th with Harry, William and Kate at an intimate gathering or would she have celebrated in style with her friends such as Elton John? Newsweek's Tina Brown has written an extensive article explaining what Diana may be like now. In my opinion the article is quite tasteless, What do you think?

An age projected photo of Diana strolling alongside her admiring daughter in law, the Duchess of Cambridge features on the cover of the popular magazine. Diana's digitally engineered photo showing what she would look like now is of very poor quality, A photo of Kate attending Sam Waley Cohen's wedding in a Zara dress is placed beside Diana. Brown writes 'Diana would have gone the J crew and Galliano route a la Michelle Obama, always knowing how to mix the casual with the glam. There is no doubt she would have kept her chin taut with strategic botox shots and her bare arms buff from the gym. I believe her best male friend in later years would have been, poignantly, her reviled first husband. She would have initially found Kate threatening. Her edge over Kate, of course was her own epic of princessly suffering, which would always make Diana's story more interesting'. She continues to state that she thinks Diana would be living in a New York apartment and would even be friends on facebook with Camilla (I for one can not see this as a remote possibility).
All of this of course, is simply speculation. Diana was so greatly loved by millions, everyone would have their own idea of how she would have been now. I think Princess Diana and Duchess Kate would have been close friends. They share a love for fashion and mostly a love for William. Diana would still be beautiful and probably promoting her charitable causes. At this time of her life she may have been given the opportunity to retreat from the public eye with the media glare now firmly on Kate.

Kate recycles break up dress for the wedding of 'royal matchmaker'

It is ironic that Kate first wore the dress after her very public split with William, Today wearing it to the wedding of their alleged 'matchmaker'. A happy ending for William and Kate, and Sam Waley-Cohen and his new bride!

Another outfit change for Kate as she attends friends wedding with Pippa

It certainly has been an eventful day for the Duchess of Cambridge. This morning she supported William at the Trooping the Colour ceremony. Wearing an ivory dress coat Kate looked elegant. Just hours later she attended the wedding of close friend Sam Waley-Cohen. The jump jockey is known as the 'royal matchmaker' after being credited for helping William and Kate rekindle their romance after their brief split in 2007. Kate matched the black Philip Treacy hat she wore at the Trooping the Colour ceremony with a fitted monochrome spot pattern dress. The Duchess is known for wearing her items more than once. She was photographed wearing the same dress back in 2007.

Accompanied by her sister Pippa Middleton wearing a green embellished jacket, the pair appeared to be enjoying the day and catching up. One guest said: 'It was a fantastic wedding and I saw Kate arrive at the church with her sister after she apparently drove herself there. She arrived about twenty minutes before the service started and was very relaxed and happy. When the wedding had finished Kate joined the others in making an avenue outside the church for the newlyweds to walk through. There was security but it was very low key. Kate looked lovely but did her best not to overshadow the bride'.
