Royal Tour number two confirmed for next year

After William and Kate's tremendously successful tour of Canada and California. It seemed inevitable Royal aides would be eager to make arrangements for another. I'm sure you will all be delighted to hear the couple will undertake their second Royal tour on behalf of the Queen next year. Prince William is reportedly eager to visit Australia and New Zealand however a Royal aide said 'The couple will be undertaking a tour but it's unlikely to be Australia and New Zealand'. Apparently the Caribbean is a more likely destination. Would love to see Duchess Kate's fashion choices there! Wherever the tour is I'm positive it shall be a resounding success and fellow Kate watchers will be look forward to it!

As you have all noticed, The Cambridge's have been keeping a very low profile. For some reason pregnancy rumours seem to have accelerated. I have received quite a few tweets in relation to whether or not Duchess Kate is expecting. Thus far there is no reason to believe she is. Should there be confirmation of this rumour in the near/distant future I assure you it will be literally everywhere. Of course I will post about it here immediately too!

Kate singing the Welsh National Anthem in Anglesey

In other news, The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly learning to speak Welsh in order to fit in with the locals in Anglesey where she and William spend most of their time. A source said 'She is picking up the language and doing well. Because they live in Wales she is surrounded by the language when she is out about. It is not a case of a lesson a week, she hears the language around her and learns it like that. Anglesey is her home-If you immerse yourself in the culture you pick things up'. The Duchess has been practicing by speaking to locals in supermarkets and around town. In February Kate sang the Welsh National Anthem on her first official visit with William for the launch of a new RNLI lifeboat on Anglesey.

Kate with Willem Marx in 2008

Those of you who are familiar with Kate's earlier days will remember her first boyfriend from Malborough Willem Marx. Marx has reportedly found love with a girl who bears a striking resemblance to Kate. He has been seeing magazine editor Shirley Leigh Wood Oakes for a while. The press are indeed turning this into a dramatic story but Kate was photographed with Willem in 2008 and the pair were clearly happier as just friends.

William and Kate donate $1.5 million

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge nominated twenty six good causes to which people could make donations in lieu of wedding gifts. After the engagement Clarence house released this statement 'Having been touched by the goodwill shown to them since the announcement of their engagement, Prince William and Miss Middleton have asked that anyone who might wish to give them a wedding gift consider giving instead to the charitable fund'. The Royal wedding charity fund was a huge success. Who will benefit from the estimated $1.52 million?

Beneficiaries include the Christchurch earthquake appeal and Australia's royal flying doctor service. The couple were keen to display their keen interest in helping deserving charities. In a challenging economic climate donations are needed more than ever. A Philip Treacy hat worn by Prince William's cousin, Princess Beatrice is set to raise over $121,000 for charity. The flesh toned, silk hat strongly resembles a pretzel and caused a media sensation after the wedding. The hat is considered a major faux pas, but that hasn't stopped bidders on e bay attempting to acquire it. The couple who have just returned from their honeymoon are settiling back into married life in Anglesey. William is expected to resume his duties as a search and rescue pilot in the coming days.

William and Kate's Honeymoon Photos: Discuss/Debate

Hello Duchess Kate readers,
I was incredibly surprised when I logged into Facebook this morning and saw William and Kate on the cover of Woman's Day Australia . The headline read 'World Exclusive Photos: Wills and Kate Our Island Paradise'. The cover shows the couple holding hands during a beach stroll. William wearing shorts and Kate in a back bikini.

The magazine published over a dozen photos from the couple's honeymoon in the Seychelles in May 2011.

If you wish to see more photos and commentary you can watch a video from Today.

William and Kate chose the idyllic Seychelles for their honeymoon reportedly because of it's classic location which lies in the Indian Ocean between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Equator. The beaches are simply breathtaking.

The couple stayed in a £4,000 a night villa which included a butler, a private garden, an open air bathroom area with sunken bath and shower and a yoga pavilion. William and Kate reportedly spent their time enjoying the stunning views, beaches and a sunset cruise.

When the couple jetted off on their honeymoon there was an unofficial agreement that media organisations would not send photographers and allow them privacy. A St. James' Palace spokesperson said

'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge considered their honeymoon to be a very private event after their hugely public wedding. For this reason they asked the media to respect their privacy. That is something they continue to do so'.

I wish to state that I do not support these photos, nor agree with the fact they were taken. I posted a small version of the magazine cover but will not be posting the photos. However, I think you should all be able to discuss/debate this and view the photos if you wish. I would love to hear your thoughts so feel free to discuss and debate. (With a special thank you to Emma from Australia and Ilona for taking the time to email me about this story)
