Royal Engagements!

Since Kate and William announced their engagement over five months, Kate has taken part in several public appearances, proving a success in each one and sparking interest in the monarchy that we haven't seen since Diana. A BBC reported was quoted as saying William and Kate are expected to announce a USA visit after their Canada tour in June. No doubt very exciting. Kate wishes to model herself on the Duchess of Cornwall by not planning any solo engagement's while remaining by William's side in Angelsey  as he serves there for the next two years. They have only a handful of appearances planned in the coming months.  This is the right choice as the pressure of the spotlight and full time royal duties may prove difficult initially. The stress is far less for Kate than it was for Diana as William is second in line.

Kate wore a stunning Issa dress when they announced their engagement. The official engagement photograph's were shot by the talented Mario Testino. Both looked overjoyed. Testino was quoted as saying, 'They are brimming with happiness.'

Firstly they attended the Thursford Christmas spectacular Gala on Dec 18th 2010. They met young cancer patients.

Wearing a red suit from her own wardrobe in February in Scotland, The same evening Kate signed the book of condolences for victims in new Zealand looking chic in a red dress with knee high boots. Red is definitely her color.

In Belfast wearing a Burberry Trench flipping a pancake outside Belfast city hall on March 8th accompanied by William. Kate was an instant success with the public proving herself warm and friendly.
