Kate chose to recycle for the event choosing the pale gold coat by Day by Birger/ Mikkelsen,
she wore to Zara Philips and Mike Tindall's wedding last year, Mel Nicholson's 2010 wedding and to the 2006 wedding of Laura Parker Bowles. Again Kate obviously wanted the attention firmly on the athletes and not her sartorial choices hence recycling a piece that has been seen three times before.
A closer look at the coat.
Kate wore her favourite LK Bennett Sledge Pumps.

I congratulate, too, the organisers of the games, as well as the thousands of volunteers who have epitomized the Olympic spirit through the warm welcome they have shown to the sporting teams and spectators from around the world.
As a nation we now look forward to the Paralympic Games and wish all athletes every success'.

I'd like to thank you all for reading the blog and commenting throughout the Olympics. London 2012 was simply amazing and it was wonderful to see Kate supporting Team GB at so many events. I expect Kate will attend a number of events during the Paralympics (August 29 - September 9) Until then, there are no engagements scheduled for the Duchess, who will most likely spend some time in Anglesey next. In the meantime we'll continue on with 'Kate Loves' and I hope to work on the 'Repli-Kate' section too, along with the latest news and hopefully a surprise appearance or two.
