Kate sets the trend for Pippa and Carole Middleton

Carole and Pippa Middleton attended a party at the Goring hotel last night without Kate, however her influence was still there! The female members of the Middleton family are blessed with enviably long and lean legs. Regardless of how good your legs are, what woman doesn't want the perfect pair of heels to enhance how good  her legs look? Carole and Pippa followed the trend set by Kate at the Epsom Derby.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked elegant and stylish wearing a pair of £175 nude LK Bennett sledge court shoes with a Reiss dress and Joseph Jacket. Her Mother and sister were photographed wearing near identical pairs of shoes. Kate could easily afford expensive designer shoes but as expected has stayed true to her love of affordable British high street fashion. Millions of women worldwide attempt to emulate Kate's simple, classic look but no doubt she'll be especially glad to know even her mother and sister admire her chic style!

Kate and Pippa share sibling rivalry

The Duchess of Cambridge and her younger sister, Pippa Middleton, have an enviably close relationship. Throughout the months leading up to the Royal Wedding they were rarely seen without each other. Kate has often described Pippa as her 'best friend'. However, that doesn't mean they are unlike most siblings. The two share a healthy sibling rivalry.

Pippa has always been far more outgoing than Kate, who is shy and reserved. In school, Pippa was more popular and was seen as a 'leader'. A source close to the girls said, 'Pippa was always more liked at school than Kate because she was very outgoing while Kate was more of a loner. This led to a bit of friction between them and Pippa would sometimes take pleasure in winding Kate up. Things got better by the time Kate was 18. She got invited to parties and Pippa would always tag along. As always, all the attention would go to Pippa and she'd compete with her sister over boys. In fact, Kate tended to get dating advice from her little sister.'

Pippa, who is currently in Spain with old flame George Percy, son of the Duke of Northumberland, has been at the centre of a scandal involving topless pictures. Buckingham palace are said to be dismayed by the recent revelations. A close friend said, 'Pippa is a flirt, she wasn't sleeping around but always flirts with the most well connected men'. The girls compete over typical female issues such as weight, hair and looks. Whenever photographed together the pair look extremely close and have been spotted partying and shopping together since Kate began seeing William. The rivalry is most likely lighthearted as Pippa seemed genuinely happy for her older sister when she was able to live out the princess fairytale that every little girl dreams of.

Middletons to complain as racy photos emerge!

Two Sunday newspapers have published photos of the Middletons holidaying with Prince William on a yacht. During their week in Ibiza they stayed at a £5 million villa dubbed 'La maison de bang bang.' Taken in 2006 the seven photographs show Kate and her sister Pippa Middleton in almost matching bikinis. The headlines over the weekend read 'Perfect Pippa-and the Prince of belly flops', 'Oh buoy, It's Pippa.............and she's topless inside'. The News of the World had a six photo spread with one showing Pippa removing her top. A source close to the family said 'The whole family is furious at what they see as a betrayal'. It is not known where the newspapers acquired the photos but it's reported a family friend was involved. William and Kate's circle of friends is incredibly close knit hence they are shocked to find out someone has been leaking photos from five years ago. The Middletons are trying to have the photos removed from the web and seem to have somewhat succeeded. The story has already been removed from the News of the World's site. The popular paper had more photos of Pippa scantily clad on their website.

The Middleton family are seriously contemplating making a formal complaint to the Press Complaints Commission. Why is this different to any other newspaper spread? The publication of these images may well breach the editor's code of practice by invading the privacy of the Middletons. The greatest sanction by the PPC is issuing a critical adjudication against a newspaper or magazine. This is a very strong deterrent. Under the system of self regulation the editor will have to publish their mistakes, something newspapers detest. Interest in Pippa Middleton in particular, has skyrocketed since she wore a white Alexander McQueen dress at the royal wedding. Photos of Pippa dancing in a bra and skirt circulated soon after causing a surge of intense media interest.
Vivid Entertainment president, Steve Hirsch, offered her $5 million to appear in an explicit sex scene in one of his porn movies. Kate's brother James has also been offered $1 million for a cameo in a similar movie. A source added 'Pippa and James are highly embarrassed.'

The photos in question capture the Middletons behaving like ordinary twenty-somethings, Kate and Pippa swimming and playfully engaging with William on her uncle Gary Goldsmith's boat. The family probably feel they need to deal with this matter in order to stop more photos emerging.

Another outfit change for Kate as she attends friends wedding with Pippa

It certainly has been an eventful day for the Duchess of Cambridge. This morning she supported William at the Trooping the Colour ceremony. Wearing an ivory dress coat Kate looked elegant. Just hours later she attended the wedding of close friend Sam Waley-Cohen. The jump jockey is known as the 'royal matchmaker' after being credited for helping William and Kate rekindle their romance after their brief split in 2007. Kate matched the black Philip Treacy hat she wore at the Trooping the Colour ceremony with a fitted monochrome spot pattern dress. The Duchess is known for wearing her items more than once. She was photographed wearing the same dress back in 2007.

Accompanied by her sister Pippa Middleton wearing a green embellished jacket, the pair appeared to be enjoying the day and catching up. One guest said: 'It was a fantastic wedding and I saw Kate arrive at the church with her sister after she apparently drove herself there. She arrived about twenty minutes before the service started and was very relaxed and happy. When the wedding had finished Kate joined the others in making an avenue outside the church for the newlyweds to walk through. There was security but it was very low key. Kate looked lovely but did her best not to overshadow the bride'.

Princess Diana 'Would Have Been Jealous' of Kate

When William and Kate began dating at University, the press instantly began comparing Diana and Kate. Throughout the engagement and the wedding, William ensured Diana's presence was felt. He gave Kate her engagement ring to keep her spirit alive not only during the preparations for the royal wedding but for their marriage. It is well known how close Diana was to her sons and the close bond they shared.

What would Diana have thought of Kate? One would presume she would be thrilled for William and take Kate in as a daughter. However, according to her royal biographer, Andrew Morton, who recently released William and Catherine: Their Story, her feelings would have been quite different to those of a loving mother-in-law. Morton said, 'Diana loved to be in the limelight and for once she would be in the shadows. By now Diana would have almost been fifty and passing the fashion baton to her daughter-in-law further distancing herself from the spotlight'. Morton also discussed the sensational coverage of Pippa Middleton since racy photos were released. 'William isn't bothered by gossip. He always says he has a lot of baggage. It's not just the Middleton family who have skeletons in their cupboard. The house of Windsor is full of them. You've got the Fergie pictures of having her toes sucked and you've got Prince Charles and his racy taped recorded messages to Camilla'.
It is impossible for anyone to know exactly how Diana would have felt about Kate, however, given her love for her children, I think she would have overlooked competition about popularity and looks in favour of forging a close bond with her eldest son's wife.
