Duchess Kate Takes Playful Lupo Walking While William Sleeps

Hello to you all,
I would like to begin by sincerely thanking all of you for your kind wishes, they are deeply appreciated. I couldn't help but take a moment to check in on the blog and to my amazement two sets of photos showing Kate walking Lupo have surfaced. It was revealed last week. photos of Kate walking Lupo were taken on the 15th, as to why they did not emerge until now, one can only speculate. Perhaps the publishers waited until Kate's solo engagements had finished?

Accompanied by a royal protection officer, Kate looked relaxed in light jeans and Barbour jacket. She wore her hair swept up into a ponytail.

The 30 year old appears to be wearing the Barbour Ladies Defence Jacket. (With many thanks to Christine) The olive jacket is currently on sale reduced from £199 to £149. It is described as

"Traditional Barbour wax, in a versatile field jacket. Flattering and easy fit. Perfect for outdoor adventures. 100% cotton Barbour Tartan lining. "

Kate's very cosy looking mocca boots are the Celtic Sheepskin Cabra Boots. (With thanks to the amazing Jolene) They are £170 and available in sizes 3-9. They are described as

"These sophisticated calf height boots are made from quality British sheepskin with an attractive two tone goat - hide cuff. Created in our Cornish factory, they have lightweight, flexible soles."

Kate was also photographed 'whistle training' her beloved cocker spaniel. To view the photos please vist the Daily Mail article.

However the playful five month old was having none of it. Instead he chased a crisp packet around Kensington Gardens throughout the outing :) It is rumoured William and Kate will be using Lupo as a gun dog. Over the years the couple have regularly been spotted hunting on royal estates such as Balmoral. A friend of the Cambridge's said 'William and Kate absolutely adore him'. Speaking of William, he was reportedly sleeping after his long flight while Kate took Lupo out.

I simply adore seeing photos of Kate with Lupo. He is an adorable puppy and it's wonderful to see Kate taking such excellent care of him. Kate wore the same Barbour jacket, with dark blue skinny jeans and trainers. Love her windswept hair.

The photos of Kate walking Lupo will feature in today's edition of The Daily Express.

Itinerary for Nottingham Visit, William Enjoys Boys Night Out + More

Hello Duchess Kate readers,
William and Kate will join the Queen for a visit to Nottingham on Wednesday as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee tour of the country. Huge numbers of people are expected to welcome the Royal party. Nottingham City Council Leader, Councillor Jon Collins said

'As the Capital of the East Midlands, it's great Nottingham's playing host to this Royal visit. I'm sure that local people will give the Royal party a warm welcome and will be excited about getting to see The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as part of the Jubilee celebrations'.

For those of you wishing to follow the visit live via televised coverage or planning to see the Royals in person, the itinerary is as follows

10.05 a.m. The Queen will arrive by train at Nottingham Train Station where they will be met by William and Kate. Both parties will travel by car to the Old Market Square.

10.10 a.m. The Royals are expected to arrive in the Old Market Square and will spend time greeting the crowds, before going into the Council House to meet the Lord Lieutenants of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and invited guests.

11.00 a.m. The Royals will arrive at Vernon Park for a rededication of Vernon Park under the auspices of the QE2 Fields in Trust Organisation, of which William is patron. Her Majesty will then unveil a plaque to mark the park's new status and the Royals will enjoy sporting and musical performances.

It looks like it's going to be a very exciting visit. I should have a post ready as soon as photos emerge :)

William enjoyed a night out with his close friend Guy Pelly at a private members club in Mayfair.  Prince Harry recently joked William and Kate had become a middle-aged couple, preferring home cooked meals and DVDs in their Anglesey home than a night out on the town. Noticeably Kate was absent, possibly opting to have an early night as opposed to staying out late. I was struck by the number of negative comments. William is only 29 and entitled to relax with his friends. To view photos of William leaving the club pop over to the Daily Mail article.

Meanwhile, Kate is reportedly busy planning to throw William a 30th birthday party 'fit for a King'. She is thought to be discussing ideas with William's closest friends. Kate chose to celebrate her 30th with a low key family dinner. It will be interesting to see plans for William's come to fruition.

This week's issue of Hello! Magazine is a souvenir edition of the Jubilee events.

Kate to team up with the Queen, Grey hair rumours, how she's coming of age and More

In exciting news it is being widely reported Kate will team up with the Queen for a series of royal engagements next month. With William's upcoming trip to the Falklands I had feared we wouldn't be seeing the Duchess during that time. A royal source said

'This is a sign of how close the Queen and her new granddaughter in law have become. Her Majesty is extremely fond of Catherine and wants to do all she can to support her in what is an important year'.

The pair teamed up earlier last summer to open the exhibition at Buckingham Palace.

Duchess Kate is always in the news whether it's discussing an upcoming engagement or a truly ridiculous rumour spreading like wildfire across the tabloids. However some very fine pieces have been written about Kate in the press in the last couple of days (equally some not so complimentary), I would like to share one of the stories and insights with you. Beginning with a story by the Daily Mail  entitled 'How Kate is coming of age'.

The article begins with the usual ageist remark one can expect from a tabloid Rarely can a woman facing 30 truly say her life is just becoming. It's one of those milestones made more bearable by a stiff gin and tonic'. In Kate's case this is certainly not the case as I am quite sure it's going to be another wonderful year for the Duchess. It goes on to discuss the fact that Kate is supposedly using organic hair dye to hide onset grey hairs and how Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall (and the media) are beginning to refer to her as 'Duchess Doolittle' because she only undertook 34 engagements this year. I do think referring to the future Queen in that manner is quite terrible. Kate has performed each royal duty she has been asked to with ease, grace and poise. It is obviously the Queen's decision to ease her in slowly.

It also reports that while William is away in the Falklands, Kate will use this time to launch herself into solo work. 'It's a natural moment for her to step out on her own'. I enjoyed the personal insights included in the post. Kate does all the cooking for her and William and her own grocery shopping. (In Waitrose on Kensington High Street) She has continued to refuse the offer of a dresser, stylist or lady in waiting.

However William has eleven people in his office and Kate has had help from there. Twenty something Rebecca Deacon has been working for William and Harry since 2007. Since the engagement she has been assisting Kate. Introducing her to right people, carrying flowers, holding her handbag etc. The couple also have a private secretary.

Despite her high profile role, Kate is still eager to live a normal life. Looking forward to a quiet low key celebration with family on friends for her birthday. One source said

'She just loves being William's wife. It's as simple as that'.

I couldn't think of a better summary of Kate.

I found this piece quite interesting too, Ten Ways Kate Has Changed Our Lives, including pulling on a pair of tights and frugal fashion :)

I'm very excited to see what Kate wears to the 'War Horse' premiere today. Will she stick with the trusted McQueen, Packham, Temperly, Wakeley foursome or try someone new. I'm sure she will look stunning whatever she chooses.

On a side note, As I love blogging so much I've started a secondary blog, 'The Royal Digest'. Basically it will comprise of one daily post on the goings on of royalty around the world. However I will not be including William and Kate in it, (I'll be saving all the news for this blog as always :))

I'll see you all tomorrow night :)

Kate Wears Beulah for Alice St John Webster's Wedding

William, Kate and Pippa attended the wedding of school friend Alice St John Webster in Taunton, Somerset today. Alice was in the same years as Kate at Marlborough College and was given a prime seat at the royal wedding in the Statesmen's Aisle. She married her long- term partner Gerald Alvenel.

A huge thank you to Freyja McLennan who kindly shared photos via Twitter.

The wedding took place in St Mary's Church, Bishops Lydeard, Taunton, Somerset. The church dates from the 14th and 15th centuries and has been designated as a Grade 1 listed building. A beautiful church for an intimate ceremony.

Always the gentleman Prince William shielded Kate from the dismal weather by holding an umbrella over her.

Kate wore the printed silk chiffon Beulah Blossom Dress (With thanks to the wonderful Bella)  It is currently reduced from £490 to £415 and is described as

'With long billowing sleeves and knee length style, this dress is the perfect piece for any smart, summer occasion. The unique print and cut makes this dress original, flattering and feminine in a versatile way that can be worn from day to evening'.

Beulah

Interestingly the label was started by Prince William's former girlfriend Natasha Rufus Isaacs. This is the second time Kate has chosen a Beulah dress (She wore their Sarai dress for a gala fundraiser last October) so obviously there's no hard feelings :)

Kate wore her favourite LK Bennett Sledge shoes.

Kate recycled the Jane Corbett hat she wore to the Order of the Garter.

Kate appears to be carrying a white shawl and possibly her LK Bennett Natalie Clutch.

Pippa wore the Temperly Rana Shirt Dress (With many thanks to Shelby) The embroidered dress with 3/4 length sleeves was reduced from €475 to €285 but is now sold out.
