What Duchess Kate bought on the King's Road yesterday, Olympics News and S/S 2012 styles for Kate

Good evening Kate fans,

There have been a couple of interesting stories regarding the Duchess today. With William and Harry away in Northern Spain, Kate has been using her time valuable as any woman would...Shopping! :) Kate was spotted enjoying some retail therapy on the King's Road, wearing her hair in a bun and a fitted black jacket. The Duchess browsed around the trendy Anonymous by Ross+Bute for ten minutes yesterday, taking a few items into the fitting room before choosing the jewel collar v neck top reduced from £169 to £84.50. Kate bought it in small. It is described as

'Soft merino Pointelle leg o mutton sleeve top with 'Antique' jewel collar'
Duchess Kate purchased the top in Grape but it is also available in Indigo and Slate, No doubt it shall be another sell out. I do hope we see Kate wearing this, it's gorgeous and the necklace is so classic.

Below we see Harry's ex Florence Brudenell Bruce modelling the sweater. (With many thanks to the wonderful Trisha)

We are all eagerly awaiting London 2012, most of us for the spectacular display of sport from around the world, the atmosphere in London, However some of us (myself included) are looking forward to seeing Kate's role in it all. It was announced today that William and Kate will help coach over 200 aspiring British Olympians. The couple will attend Team GB pre games training base at Loughburough University where the 550 members of Team GB will collect their their kit at an induction. No date has been confirmed as of posting but I'll let you know as soon as it is announced. British Olympian Chairman, Colin Moynihan said
'The couple want to go well beyond their ceremonial duties and be part of the team. They are looking to make that marginal difference which will assist all those athletes, parents and coaches and taking them one step closer to podium success. They communicate exceptionally well'.

The evenings are getting longer, Christmas is a distant memory as are most of the New Years Resolutions and we are looking forward to the Summer. What is better than Spring/Summer fashion? :) I've been taking a look through the new collection at Reiss and thought I would share some pieces we could see Kate wearing!

The first piece that caught my eye was the Bridge Dress. The structured V neck dress is very Kate and exactly the type of dress she would wear for a royal engagement. Available in fawn, back and firebrick. It is available for €225 and is described as
'Reiss fitted v neck dress. The Bridge dress is  fitted style with a v back and front with cowl neck detail. The cap sleeve style falls above the knee, is fastened to the back with a concealed zip'.

The Zoe is a fitted ruched waist dress available in black and soft cappucino. It is available for €185 and is described as

'Reiss ruched waist dress. The Zoe dress is a round neck, three quarter sleeve style with a textured sheer finish, revealing a nude base. The bodycon style has flattering ruching to the waist, sits on the knee, and fastens on the back with a concealed zip'.

With a tour approaching this summer, Kate will need a collection of crisp and stylish summer skirts. The Hula skirt would look great with her nude pumps and a fitted white top. It is available in washed blue and graphite for €140. It is described as

'Knee length Reiss skirt with full pleats and sculptured waist. Hula is a flattering option for spring with a full lining, pleats through the skirt and a scalloped waistband. Fastens with a concealed zip at the side'.
