Kate looks on with pride as William takes part in his first Trooping the Colour

The Duchess of Cambridge attended her debut Trooping the Colour ceremony. Kate watched with pride as Prince William took part in one of the world's greatest spectacles of pageantry in honour of the Queen's birthday. It is part of the Queen's birthday parade celebrations but all the attention was focused on William and Kate.

The Duchess of Cambridge left Buckingham Palace by horse-drawn carriage with Prince Harry, Prince Andrew and the Duchess of Cornwall. Kate looked stunning as always, in an Alexander McQueen ivory dress coat with a black hat. She had a tartan quilt covering her knees in the carriage. The royal family then gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace where planes flew by leaving a cloud of red, white and blue smoke. It has been a busy weekend thus far for the royal couple but they are certainly rising to the challenge and Kate's popularity is growing with the public every day. We may have a new people's princess!
