Kate attends Prince Philip's birthday dinner in Stella McCartney dress

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with William's cousins, treated the Queen and Prince Philip to an expensive dinner to celebrate Philip's 90th birthday. Prince Philip was hoping for a low key birthday and an intimate family get together would be exactly what he had in mind. They dined at the three Michelin starred restaurant, The Waterside Inn, at Bray, Berkshire. The group in attendance included Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara Philips and Peter and Autumn Philips. Prince Harry was missing as he had to attend a charity dinner in Ascot.

The group appeared to be enjoying their meal and each other's company at the £150 a head restaurant. The menu included rabbit fillets, pan fried veal with carrots and crispy calf's head fritter and roasted challandais duck. Restaurant staff gave Philip a copy of french owner Michael Roux's Savoury and Sweet sauces cookbook. This morning the Royal family attended a service at St George's chapel in Windsor attended by 750 guests, followed by a champagne reception in celebration of the Duke of Edinburgh.  Kate looked beautiful in a salmon, satin Stella McCartney previously seen on Madonna in 2008.  dress with her hair word down. I mentioned previously today that the Windsor family are looking more united lately and this dinner is further evidence of that. It's very nice to see such a close family and Kate is a wonderful addition.
