Kate's London 2012 Calender

Good afternoon to you all,

Can you believe we are just four days away from the London 2012 games opening ceremonies? It will no doubt be an unforgettable time for London and the participants. An additional bonus to the games is of course the royals. Duchess Kate will be using her role as Olympic Ambassador to showcase British talent while the games are on (So yes we'll be seeing her quite a lot over the next couple of weeks :))

Kate graces the cover of Hello Magazine's Olympic themed issue this week.

Let's take a look at Kate's diary! On Thursday, William, Kate and Harry will welcome the Olympic Torch Relay to Buckingham Palace. The torch will be carried through the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea before arriving at the palace.

Below we see Amelia Hempleman-Adams with the Olympic flame on top of a London eye pod.

The Olympic Torch Relay Finale Concert takes place at Hyde Park.

'As the Olympic Flame heads closer to its final destination, we'll be rounding off the Relay with an extra special event for 80,000 people in London's Hyde Park. Bring all the family along to watch top live music performances and see the iconic Olympic flame light a cauldron for the very last time before it reaches the Olympic stadium'.

The Palace has not confirmed Kate will be attending but it would seem a strong possibility. If you wish to purchase tickets for the concert please click here.

On Friday,  the royals will attend a Buckingham Palace reception for foreign heads of state before the opening ceremonies. The name of the Olympic Opening Ceremony will be the 'Isles of Wonder' and the worldwide broadcast will commence at 9 pm.

'The ceremony will kick off with the sound of the largest harmonically tuned bell in Europe, produced by the Whitechapel foundry, and the stadium will be transformed into the British countryside for opening scene 'Green and Pleasant' which includes real farmyard animals'.

The creative team behind the ceremonies, Danny Boyle, Bradley Hemmings and Jenny Sealey.

Two events for the Duchess on July 31 also.

Now onto August (I did say we would be seeing plenty of Kate). On August 2, William and Kate will see the tennis at Wimbledon. The couple will no doubt be there to cheer on British number one Andy Murray. Wimbledon is currently undergoing preparations for London 2012. One can just imagine the atmosphere and buzz in the stadium during the games...

On August 3 William and Kate will attend the swimming at Olympic Park. The Olympic stadium certainly does look beautiful today with the sun shining and the flowers in bloom.

Kate will attend the hockey on August 4. The Duchess was a very talented player at school and showed off her skills with Team GB last March.

Finally Kate and Harry will attend the closing ceremonies on August 12. William is not expected to attend as he will be working at RAF Valley.

It's going to be an amazing couple of weeks with many more royal sightings than I initially anticipated. I'll be covering all of these events and hope to have posts published for each one as quickly as possible. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the events and Kate's fashion choices. Any early predictions? I expect plenty of British designers. Which events are you most excited to see? Keep an eye on 'Kate's Upcoming Dates' on the sidebar for any new events that may included over the games. I'd like to say a huge thank you to royal correspondents Rebecca English and Richard Palmer for sharing the dates with us.

It all kicks off Thursday and I have a feeling London 2012 is going to be pretty special :)
