Repli-Kate: Somerset By Alice Temperly, Kate's Style App, Copy Kate's McQueen Military Coat + Trench

With the Paralympics almost a week away I thought it a good time to reintroduce the 'Repli-Kate' section with some changes. Instead of attempting to find alternatives to one of Kate's looks per post I'm going to include all things fashion related along with finding stylish, affordable pieces similar to Kate's best looks.

Very exciting news for two of Kate's favourite's. John Lewis and Temperly have created a new concept fashion brand Somerset By Alice Temperly. Designed exclusively for John Lewis and named after Alice Temperly's beloved home county, this is Temperly's first collaboration for the UK high street. The collection will arrive online and in store from September 4. A second phase featuring partywear will launch in October.

Peter Ruis, Brand and Buying director for John Lewis, described the collaboration as "iconic".

The collection is influenced by Victoriana and Bohemian accents to military and print elements. The sixty piece collection is classic Temperly at an accessible price. A full range of accessories and fashion pieces will also be available. Kate has worn some stunning Temperly pieces and after the success of Jenny Packham's No.1 Collection for department store Debenhams it seems collaborations are very much the way forward for high end brands.

Stunning British model Lily Donaldson and her sister Aurelia front the campaign. Inspired by the country-meets-city mood of the collection. You can watch the campaign video here. I would love to see Kate wearing pieces from the collection and think it's a strong possibility we will.

For those of you eager to emulate Kate's style, an app has now been created to help you do just that. Former actress Helen Barclay decided to create the app because she is "absolutely obsessed" with Kate's style and saw a gap in the digital market.

Helen said:

"I model my own style on Kate's, especially more so now, and I love her jean and jacket combos matched with little chiffon shirts which is the kind of thing I wear all the time. I think more and more people are modelling themselves on Kate's style, especially now that she's becoming a fashion icon".

Users can click through to Kate's favourite designers, search by accessories and find out where to buy Kate's clothing. You can buy the app Kate's Style List here.

With winter fast approaching, we are all searching for the perfect coat. Stylish yet practical, Zara is well and truly embracing the military trend this season with three navy coats quite similar to the beautiful McQueen coat the Duchess wore for her first military engagement in June 2011.

The navy Overcoat With Bellows Pocket And BeltDouble Breasted Overcoat and Military Coat With Golden Buttons are chic alternatives, all just under £100.

Mango's £60 Cotton Trench is very similar to the Ted Baker Jinan Trench Kate wore during the royal tour in Canada last year. The fully lined trench features fastenings through front, detachable buckle belt and two buttoned front pockets.

A lovely lady named Sylvia found an excellent Repli-Kate for the Kristin Magnusson Acorn Locket Kate wore to Wimbledon last month. The Madewell Acorn Locket is just $35 with spring clasp closure.

Please leave any suggestions as to which outfits/designers you would like to see featured in coming posts. Equally, any 'Kate' pieces you discover and would like to share would be most welcome.

We'll continue you with 'Kate Loves' next, looking back on William and Kate's time at St. Andrews University.
