Kate's Calender: A look at the Garden Party, Epsom + Jubilee Events

Hello Duchess Kate readers,

Kate's calender is looking quite full particularly for the first weekend of June. As you all know the jubilee celebrations have been months in the planning and the events promise to be unforgettable. On Tuesday May 29th Kate is expected to attend her first royal garden party at Buckingham Palace. The Duchess will join Her Majesty for tea with 8,000 guests in the gardens of the residence. The party is widely considered one of the highlights of the summer season. Unfortunately William will not be joining Kate instead he will be working at RAF valley.

A look at last years party. You can see Her Majesty in the centre wearing yellow. Female guests generally choose summer dresses and jackets with hats or fascinators. The party takes place between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Although not confirmed yet, William and Kate are expected to attend the Epsom Derby on June 2nd. The investec derby day is the first official event in the long weekend of celebrations. The Queen has reportedly said she wants 'a full house' for the event.

Last year Kate wore a lovely Reiss dress and Joseph jacket to the derby, looking forward to   seeing what she chooses to wear this year.

The forma river procession will take place between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. starting upriver of Battersea Bridge and finishing downriver of Tower Bridge. Below we look at the route.

Almost every senior member of the Royal family will be taking part, except the Duchess of Kent who has quit public life. The Queen and Prince Philip will be met at Chelsea pier by Charles and Camilla. They will then make a memorable trip on board The Royal Barge, called the Spirit of Chartwell. William, Kate and Harry will already be waiting there.

The Spirit of Chartwell once belonged to the Royal Yacht Britannia. Th vessel will take the royals 800 yards downstream.

A red velvet banner decorate with the royal coat of arms made from half a million gold coloured buttons will hang from the stern. It sounds like an absolutely amazing event. Definitely the one I'm most looking forward too. Which event are you most excited about?
